Outdated Kitchen

Help! I just purchased this home and it came with brand new black appliances. I'm trying to give the kitchen new cabinets, countertops, backsplash and floors, all designed around the black appliances (easier said than done). I'd also like to keep the kitchen in the same footprint as i don't want to lose any counterspace. I'm totally new to this so any design suggestions would be awesome:)

Here's an ideabook on working with black appliances. Have you search houzz photos and collected inspiration photos? Is the floor real wood? If so I'd keep it since it runs into the other room.

Yup, this one was already saved in my idea book. I'm thinking of black cabinets or white...black is more modern but can be over bearing, but white is clean and classic...arg! After we purchased the home, we found that those are not real hardwood floors, so those will need to be replaced to. Overall, more modern, clean lines and good for entertaining.
