Are you temps cooler than typical? I find canoeing happens here on some daylilies when the mornings are chilly. You have quite a lot of scapes to enjoy in the coming weeks.

Mornings have been cool, but then daytime heats up. The morning cool will be done in a couple of days, so perhaps it will straighten up then. This is two weeks earlier than first bloom last year.

Still looks good to me! Fernstone has no scapes yet here. Our winter was to too bad, but Fernstone has dwindled from 4 fans to 3. When I planted it in the fall, I did not realize a clump of daffs was right there, and they have increased. One of them will have to be moved.

Well, Day 2 was an improvement. The petals were fine and the color glows. When your nights heat up a bit, it should be fine.

I've always liked the color of Fernstone. It's a nice one to have open first thing in the spring...................Maryl

It is right. I just looked at my notes from last year and it bloomed May 13. It is going to have to get a move on soon. I expected everything to be early with the warmer spring and no late hard freezes. Not that way so far. Dumortieri bloomed April 20 last year, with the coldest Apr on record. I had it bloom Apr 10 one year.

At least no snow for us tomorrow like I heard is expected up north
