You minimalist.

I've always thought a laundry in the master was a great idea. I feel like that's where most of the clothes come from and then I don't have to walk them all over the house. :)

My washer and dryer are in a huge closet in the family bathroom on the 2nd floor - I find it very convenient. I don't know much about front load washers and dryers but I thought they were fairly heavy and somewhat unstable. A mechanical engineer told me the front load washers often contained concrete in the base to stabilize the unit. I don't know what make or model that would apply to. I guess you have checked out weight loads and running a water line, heavy electric line and dryer exhaust, also drainage in the case of an overflow.

Luckily I have a one story on a slab foundation and don't have to worry about the weight. The location will work great once I have the money for all that you mention 2taniya - exhaust and drainage etc plus moving some walls and oh yeah probably need to do foundation work first. argh! Can't wait to get it done!
