Personally, I like the texture and look of sisal/jute rugs so I’m inclined to encourage you to go for it. Your walls look like they’re a beautiful green colour, which should go well. The only reason I hesitate at all is that I’m not sure how the more casual rug will work with your piano. Let’s see what others think. In the meantime, I’ll noodle on this some more and let you know if I come up with any good ideas.

Yes to jute sisal. I think you have a great look going on of formal and casual. The cow bench helps tone down the seriousness of the piano. And yes, you are correct that it would be way too much cow to have it on the rug and bench. I do think that bamboo shades could be overkill.

Your dining room is beautiful. Please no woven or bamboo shades. Drapery panels would be ideal.

Prune,,,,,,,,,lose the shelves over sideboard for some nicely sized ART. the piano end would benefit from some visual weight in more comfortable upholstered chairs, with arms Add the rug, a table and lamp between the chairs, lose the candles on the piano. box clutter on the floor.

Try a prune. The space will feel better.......larger. Also ore balanced.

Nature is great..........plant overkill less so. One plant corner. .......healthy.
