Solar Tube Post-Install Glare?

We are about 48 hours in with a new solar tube in our kitchen and are seeing this less-than-delightful glare effect/patterning at mid day (when sun is directly overhead). Wanting to know if this is something we just have to live with? All prior research showed a nice diffused-but-bright light post-install, not this exactly. I have been unsuccessful at searching for solutions, filters, etc. Waiting on confirm from GC on exact manuf./brand/type of tube and will update when I get that info.

We have three Sola tubes in our current house, installed by PO, and installed one tube with two interior locations in a previous house. None have/had a circle of light like your photo shows.

A couple of possibilities that come to mind are either the diffuser is too small for the tube opening, or the fixture wasn't caulked and is letting light through where it's not supposed to.

Thanks for the input - helpful! It does look like we have a different products altogether though. Ours is a Velux sun tunnel. I'm still asserting that we need a fix - and much more actual 'diffusion'. But at the same time I do not want to compromise the light coming in. Researching options with builder.
