Please help identify this berry. It grows very long canes, I have canes that are probably 16' long. The thorns may be the nastiest I've ever come across. The berries when I thought they were ripe at a red colour did not taste good and then I realized they weren't yet ripe . They ripened to a more darkish purple colour and were definitely sweeter. From memory I want to say the core stayed in if that helps (vs the fruit coming off the core like a raspberry). I've google images of Logan/Marion/Tay berries and I can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated.
