I have this fireplace in my living room. The tile material (can't tell if it's granite or mable) is very shiny and nice, however I LOATHE the color and have now changed the room's colors to the point this material/color has become a problem. The even bigger problem is that this isn't a tile material, more like a countertop material, it's 1 inch (if not more) thick based on my measurements. It's bull nosed so that nobody cracks their head on it as well, which I know will add more cost to busting it out and replacing it with more countertop material. I want to just cover it up to change it up, any help would be greatly appreciated.
