Light green patches

Hello, I live in norhern IN. Overall my yard looks great. Nice dark green grass. But I have large and small patches of lighter green grass in areas. These patches also grow faster. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Photos would really help as that can be anything from patches that are slightly better fed to two words nobody around here likes to speak: Poa annua.

Make sure to get closeups of the light green grass in question in good, preferably cloud but bright, conditions.

I just updated a thread that I started a year ago about an ugly grass problem. Light, round patches in the grass that grew very fast. It eventually started to turn yellow. Always joked that it looked kind of like the president's hair. Finally determined it was bent grass. Fine on golf courses, not so fun on residential lawns that don't want it.

We still can't see a picture. Did you google the Poa to see if that is it? Does it show up more with the morning dew? Does it flop over and not stand upright?
