Hi I used SW Silver Strand my bedroom and love it but at different times of the day I definitely see blue in it. I used BM grey owl in the small master bath which I also love it is lighter though and I wanted a little more color in the bedroom. Hope this helps.

Silver Strand is a chameleon color... if you have a room that doesn't get a lot of natural light, the color will take on a blue hue. If you have a lot of natural light, you will definitely see green during the day time. Depends on what look you want.

Hi all, this post is so great. I am thinking to do Silver Strand in our basement with distressed gray oak vinyl floors for a rustic look. Not sure if this is a combo everybody would like though, if I were to think resale value. Any thoughts on that front?

Silver Strand is from towards the end of the Green-Yellow Hue Family. Some people may read it as just ‘light grey’.

In certain lighting, more of its green parent hue will be evident.

In light which spikes more in blue-violet wavelengths it can shift and look positively blue!

It isn’t blue and doesn’t have blue ‘undertones’. If it shifts this way in your setting it’s due to light quality and context.

Definitely, as mentioned above - a chameleon colour. One to sample in your space.

I was hesitant with this colour at first because of how much blue it was exhibiting. It is such a chameleon depending on the light and also the trim colour. Whites I find will bring out more of the soft green grey while a creamier trim colour brings out the blue. With the ivory trim and wainscoting in our colonial house, the colour looks historic and timely yet relaxing and calming. It is stunning with dark browns and blacks as well as pinks and yellows. You can't really go wrong with it. I absolutely love this colour!!!

Yes, i love this color I have both my master bath and guest bath’s painted this color . I’m now having the master bedroom painted this color and it has 14-16ft ceilings. it’s a calming, coastal vibe and s peapeaceful.
