The wood flooring from the living room would probably be the better option between these two since the kitchen cabinets are of a darker color tone than the wood flooring, which would help them stand out more. The lighter brown colors of the wood flooring also doubles as an "introduction" to your kitchen leading people to see the deeper and sharper colors later on when they see the cabinets, polished chrome refrigerator, kitchen appliances, and polished stone counter top.

The grey tiles wouldn't be a good color fit with the white walls and counter tops or the dark mahogany cabinets in the kitchen as it would "compete" for attention.

Other things to keep in mind may be the type of tile used. We can't really tell from the pictures if the wood flooring in the living room are "wood-effect" ceramic tiles (or some other composition) or if it's actually made of real wood. Stone tiles have temperature-retaining properties that ceramic/porcelain-based tiles won't. Real wood flooring won't be affected as much but is a bit more costly. So if you live in a dry climate with low moisture all-year round, wood flooring would probably be the way to go. If not, then a stone-based or ceramic/porcelain-based flooring would probably be better.

Alternatively, if you just prefer the grey tiles for the kitchen, you can still balance it out using other colors on the counter tops like decorative trays, bowls, and other tabletop centerpieces. On that, we would recommend these:
