My wife and I went to a merchant and after looking at choices for countertops my wifes caught a Titantium Leather Gold one and was very interested. We both looked all over this one 124" L x 77" W I personally and I sure my wife as much, looked all over this slab, every square foot. We saw nothing wrong nothing that stopped us from purchasing this slab and a mirrored slab behind it, smaller but idenitcal mirrored. We had a chance again to see the larger slab when we went back two weeks later to purchase reminents for to other vanities. I personally again looked all over this stone, nothing noticeable. My wife and a friend of hers went over two weeks prior to intall to look at were best to place template, her friend not seeing the stone before looked the both over and they both looked over the slabs for over two hours. Nothing was showing.

The install came and the big slab was placed onto the countertop and after a bit I noticed that a chunk of granite was broken off from one of the corners, they convinced us that it would not be a concern because it is against the was and when filled with resin and covered with granite back splash it would not be noticed. We were willing to accept it. The kitchen would be done and the large slab installed. They left left with me having to clean up all around, the floor excetera . Than I whiped down the slab with a cloth than wash slab with soap and water and then sprayed it with the cleaner they had. And like someone punched me there was this scare, a crack that had be repaired so very noticible. My wife and I say it is a crack that they tried resin repairing. So there in the middle of our big slab of granite was this 29" long resin filled crack that just drew your eyes too. We call the merchant that day sent pictures and with no answer the next day we went to them. They denied that it was a crack and that it was a natural fussion that was repaired at the quarry before they recieved it. We told them it was not there when we went all over this granite and his reply was it had always been there that it is a natural crack and its repaired I asked him what am I to tell friends that come over and they see this slab and see this scar/crack what am I to say. His reply "tell them God did it"

They also took the slab and turned it 180 degrees from the choicen template my wife had picked and they had to turn it because the corner with the chunk out of it would now be against the wall and they could repair it. But it went against what my Wife chosed with the template and so were the big slab seams up to a 24" x 26" the color are a way off and the flow of patterens go the opposite way. The screwed up they damage the corner by hitting or dropping it and cause the crack and put it into our house with the excuse that broken corner can be hidding and its okay to turn slab 180 degree from the template and the repaired crack is a fussion repaired at the quarry before they recieved it. We jut did not see it.
