Is it best to do that in the morning or evening?

So far I haven't seen any slugs except the ugly big brown ones and snails that I never had until a couple years ago. One year they eat my petunia babies right to the ground. I went out with an old meat fork and a flashlight and hunted like Elmer Fudd hunting the waskle wabbits. . My husband thought that I was over the edge but must have got 18 of them in three evening, Now they are just mostly by the raised veg. gardens. Sure can make a mess if left without treating

LOL in MN I went and sprayed all my crowns two weeks ago and yes I saw some writhing in pain!!!

I just sprayed all my hostas today. I am in such awe watching them unfurl this time of year - every leaf so tender and perfect - amazing works of art, that it pains me to see them devoured by these squishy little pests.
