Cold damage? I don't see any bleeding, or other indications of HVX.

Looking at our weather history, April 29 got down to 41 degrees at night. There were several other nights in the 40s as well. It's the "bubbles" that caught my eye and concern me. I leaned over close yesterday and didn't see bleeding color, but posted the picture anyway.

im not sure that 41 degrees is really a cold event temp ... especially in the city .... but i am sure weirder things happen ....

Esther, I bet the bumps are from the cold...it's been such a hard spring. I'm seeing bumps, crumpled leaves, leaves that are having trouble unfurling in my garden too.

I read this info and don't know if it's true or not: Cold damage bumps show up on both the front and back of leaf. Hvx tissue collapse bumps show up just on the front of leaf and are parallel to the veins. Don't know if this is accurate info or not. Only way to tell for sure if it's HVX is to test with Agdia strip.
