basement bedroom

Looking to add a bedroom into the basement. Basement is essentially a square shape with 2 posts and 1 window. Sump pump is in the back corner. The post on the left would be built into the wall frame.
What do you think of this configuration? Will it look weird coming downstairs and seeing the sharp corner? Open to any suggestions as I have no idea what I'm doing.
