Need some landscaping advice. This area is the east side of my house and bare although weeds constantly pop up. I live in North Carolina. During heavy rains, the mulch is washed away down the slope. I'd like to have the option of walking on this area instead of using the adjacent stairs (kids never use them). What can I plant here that is walkable and can adapt to a sloped terrain, comes back each year, and is minimal maintenance. Also, there are some tree roots that are almost near the surface of the ground in some areas. Any landscaping advice? I've been procrastinating this project because I don't want to make a mistake. In my internet research I am thinking about: Rupturewort (Herniaria glabra), Laurentia (Isotoma fluviatilis "Blue Star Creeper"), Double bird's foot trefoil​ (Lotus corniculatus "Plenus"), Creeping wire vine (Muehlenbeckia axillaries), or Scotch moss (Sagina subulata "Aurea"). Will any of these work?
