As usual, your hosta are beautiful. I had no luck with OBL (the edges burned like Francis Williams, or was it Frances?), but your's is gorgeous.

I had forgotten about Diamonds are Forever. It was a beautiful little thing. I've been virtually without hosta for several years now. So I've really been enjoying the ones that survived and the few new ones I bought. They are a joy.

Gorgeous Babka! Yours are flowering so early- it seems everyone but you really warm zone folks have theirs flowering about the same July/August regardless of when they emerge.

I love the composition of such numerous variety. What is the one front and center? It's so cute.

Midnight Sun getting into the act. Several others are starting. My hostas have been up so long they are already starting to get ratty. Growing them in high temperature climates has its own clhallenges.

Babka, is that shiny green one in the middle Candy Dish?

bkay, I’m glad you are still able to enjoy some hostas. Do you have more luck with hostas originated by southern breeders like Bob Solberg or Mary Chastain?

Fragrant ones do well. Besides that, it's a guess. I had terrible luck with most of Olga Petryszyn's introductions. I haven't had many Lakesides, but Shore Master did well. I made a list of all of Tony Avent's hosta just before the rot attacked. His are all developed to do well in warmer climates. I don't plan to have 90 potted hosta again, so will choose very carefully next time. I have a list of hosta that did well in East Texas, plus one of what did well at the Dallas Arboretum. Both lists are several years old, so it eliminates the newest ones. With the newest ones, you never know how they will do.
