Do these big root geraniums look weird?

Just got these from bluestone, but they don’t look like other big riot geraniums I have planted before. It seems like a big piece of the root is planted a above soil level. I am not certain if I should bury it as it is or bury the entire tuber.

Any ideas

    Never tried indoors but why would you? It's totally hardy, has a strong smell and spreads massively. Not even much of a candidate for a pot outside even. And inside I doubt it would have sufficient light.
