Hosta Hideaway

Drove to West Chester PA last weekend for my niece's wedding. No road trip is complete without finding some nice Hosta Nursery to visit along the way. Their plants were very well grown and tempting, but I managed to restrain myself to only 4 new ones. Having ordered 62 that are still on their way (where are they? - seems like a lot of late shipments this year) helps. Here are the four new ones that had to share the hotel room with us:

I chuckled at "no road trip is complete without a..." For me, it's really any nursery. All road trips must include a stop at a nursery. I'm counting down the days to my road trip to the Western Slope to visit family which includes 4 nurseries and an iris farm.

Nice hostas, I had to laugh at your entry. So sounds like me when on a trip I look for hosta nurseries also.

Very nice selection. LOL I'm glad you could restrain yourself with 62 on the way !!! Good job.

My restraint is the muscle to plant them.

The mirror almost fooled me into thinking there were more than 4.

Going to visit my daughter this weekend. Planning on stopping by Fox Hosta and running out to Land of the Giants on the weekend. Maybe even stopping at Blue River nursery (not Hostas) on the way home.

I lost Cool as a Cucumber early this spring. Guess it was a dog for me too, but seeing it in person made me want to try it again.

Funny about the road trip. When we are traveling now, my DW now points out the nurseries and says it's OK if you want to stop.
My Cool as a Cucumber looked pretty decent last year but was one that got hit with the cold damage this spring. Hope it recovers.
