If you keep the awning, I'd paint the trim to match one of its colors. Agree with screening an area where you can eat and relax out of sun and bugs. In the front, I'd remove the kitchy chalet around the window. There is no curb appeal right now, although I get it that this house is all about the lake. If you don't want to do anything to the front, consider just putting up a fence for privacy from the street. I assume that little window is a bath window, and you can't do much with the basement windows, so just hide that side and get people to the lake side as quickly as you can.

Maybe you should hire an architect...evaluate the essence of the problem, not just paint.

I would take the tree out. The roots look very close and will disrupt your foundation. It looks like the front paint is darker than the back I would paint the house a lighter creamy color and trim in the same color as the wood deck in back. It would be nice to carry the stone work around to the foundation in the front of the house and 1/2 the way up on both corners in front. Add some sea oats to the landscape to tie it in with the lake. The back is beautiful and you need to carry the look around to the front. DP

I'd replace the existing window with one that's a little bigger if your interior layout allows. Then, I'd either replace the existing siding with a dark beige horizontal siding or paint the existing siding dark beige or a light charcoal color. Around the foundation, I'd utilize artificial stone veneer. Finally, landscaping goes a really long way. I'd create a small area along the front of the house in which you plant some region-appropriate plants and black or brown mulch. Include low-voltage landscape lighting to enhance your property at night. For the back of the property, I'd recommend adding a sun room instead of a screened porch (windows are year-round and can be opened, screens cannot be closed in the winter and are often more difficult to clean). I'd only add it where your glass doors are now, leaving the upper deck on what appears to be the right side of the image. You can then incorporate sliding glass doors from your sun room to your upper deck. Good luck and let me see the finished product!
