JoAnn's sales/coupons

Does anyone here still shop at JoAnn's? I rarely go there any more, but it's about time to stock up on batting, and I assume they are having a Memorial Day sale this weekend. I haven't received a flyer in the mail in ages. I was on their website last night, and it was the most frustrating experience! I couldn't find a copy of a sale flyer or any coupons. It looked like the only way to get coupons is to install their app.

Anyone have an idea if there is a sale, or where I could get coupons? I usually stock up on batting once a year or so with a 50% off coupon.

Thanks! Donna

I went back on the website this morning and now I see the link at the top to the weekly ad. I also signed up for emails. I swear last night on my iPad I could not see the weekly ad link, and the popup to sign up for emails didn't come up!

I was told that if you don't use the coupons mailed to you after awhile they will stop sending them. I'm signed up for the mailed coupons but I don't have a smart phone for the apps. I get asked every time I go so I don't know if they are different discounts or what. I do shop at Joann's because I get gift certificates from everyone for B-Day, Christmas, Mother's Day and Anniversary, that keeps me well stocked on things like batting, thread, whatever and of course fabric that I don't need but wind up buying anyway. I have only bought online a couple of times and occasionally if the LQS is having a sale I'll go and at least buy a couple of yards because they have different brands that Joann's doesn't carry.

    Thanks, ladies!

Joanns stopped delivering to Canada a few years ago, so I never receive anything. I did buy flannel for my chemo quilts, now have to find another source at a reasonable price.

I have a gift cert to JoAnns but I'm not sure about buying online. I get frustrated with their online site. What's a good batting from JoAnns?

I buy the 80-20 batting in big rolls. I get ten yards or so at a time. I signed up for a thing that sends a text to my smart phone and I get a special coupon almost every day. I don't know how I did it but a lady in the store helped. I use them very seldom but I get the mail ones too. We love a restaurant next door so we use them as our excuse and hubby always wants to go.

I like the 80-20 batting, too. But when I went in last week there was a sale on batting and they were almost completely out. They have introduced Pellon pre-packaged battings, I bought one, don't know how good they are, never used that brand before. The sales girl said they were discontinuing all their packaged 100% poly battings but they would continue the 80-20 - hope she was right on that.

I usually buy Warm & Natural or Warm & White 80-20 at JoAnn's. I get 10 yards when I have a 50% off coupon. I was looking at the website the other day and didn't see it at all. There was one that said Warm at the beginning but I think it was polyester.

Hi all! Joann's announced a couple months ago that they would be discontinuing all Warm company products and replacing them with their own brand of batting. I haven't seen the new stuff yet so don't know if it's going to be a good substitute or not. I use mostly Quilter's Dream now. I like the 80/20 for almost everything although i recently used the Dream Green batting made from recycled bottles (really!) and I liked it a lot.

Thanks for the information on the Warm batting!

I usually use the Warm & White as well I didn't know they were going to d/c at Joanns. I always use a 50% coupon and get a large roll. That's disappointing to hear.

I checked my email --- JoAnns has the bolt batting on sale this weekend (TH-Sat) for 60% off and packaged is 40% off with an extra 20% off coupon. The extra 20% doesn't apply to the bolts -- that is a doorbuster special and excluded from the coupon.

Grammyp, have you compared the prices on Bluprint? They are having a sale for members this weekend also. They have Warm & Natural -- I bought a twin while I was ordering some fabric. Seemed like a good price ($12.82) but I really had no idea.

I will have to check out recycled plastic batting. They can make very soft fibers from plastic bottles, but Im guessing the batting might be on the warm side for Texas climates. But I love the idea.

Had a flash sale coupon in my email for extra 25% off today only.

    Use the online code: FLASH25MAY

Stipulations are are you must pick up the orders in store, and cannot be combined with doorbuster or clearance discounts.
