Downspout Dilemma
I've recently started redoing the exterior of my house (fresh paint, edging, landscaping) and need some opinions on how to fix this downspout. It is just in a bad spot and looks tacky the way it currently is. What does everyone think would be a good solution to keep this downspout functional but look appealing as well.

That downspout shouldn't be installed in that area at all, I'm sure there is a less conspicuous place to be.
I think they screwed up the roof, IMO the intention for that portion of the roof suppose to go over the porch and there should be a column and the gutter would run down along that column. If the roof was done over the porch that and the downspout going down the column that would make more sense.

Here is a picture of the whole front if the house. There is a downspout on each end. I bought this house last year and was told that this downspout was added there to stop water from overflowing the gutter and getting into the basement.
