Our teak table and chairs stay out year round. We don't get the cold you do but we get plenty of rain. The set is at least 25 years old now and has a silvery grey patina. We just scrub it down every spring. Quality matters. It needs to be sturdy and well made so the joints stay solid. We also have a wrought iron seat about 30 years old. That needs repainting every few years.

Highly recommend Polywood furniture. It will be able to withstand the harsh weather. I have a bunch of it and I live in Northern Indiana. It still looks as new as the day I got it. Well worth every penny.

I've got a welded steel MeadowCraft round table with 6 chairs. It's over 30 years old. Over the years, I've replaced the plastic glides and touched up spots where rust started to show. I just had the set stripped and powder coated and it looks like new again. It's really nice and very sturdy. The look of welded steel sets are not very popular these days but it works for me.

Depending on what area of PA you live in, you may want to check Carter Handcrafted Furniture in Ottsville. I purchased a polywood table & chairs set from them 3 yrs ago. It has been outside & uncovered the entire time. It has been covered with wet leaves, red berries, ice & snow and bird droppings as we live in a wooded area. It cleans easily with any household cleaner or soapy water. It comes in many colors - we chose a heather look to blend with our deck and the woods. It is heavy and didn’t move an inch when we had 60 mph winds and it wasn’t damaged by the egg sized hail we had just a few days ago. We had looked at polywood furniture previous to finding Carter’s but thought it looked cheap and unfinished. The screws were visible and that alone was a big negative for us. What we purchased has no screw heads showing so we immediately placed our order!
