Hi Kathy, Thanks for your question. There is actually no stain on this wood. The deck is made from Mangaris Diamond wood. As all woods, if left untreated it will eventually turn gray due to the sun. Our clients have chosen to let it turn gray. If you look at the handrails you can see that it is has started to turn. Here is a link to more information on Mangaris. I hope this is helpful!
