There are hundreds of types of daylilies available from many different retailers, so it mostly just depends on what colors you want, and if you want evergreen ones, or if you want the kinds that rebloom, etc. You can get some whose plants get very tall, and others whose plants stay very small. Stella d'oro is one of the more common ones and it is lovely at this time of the year and blooms like mad. You can buy them in bloom if you want to find a precise color locally so you know what you're getting, or you can order them online. I'm going to link the Gilbert H. Wild website just so you can look at it to get an idea of what is available. The ones I grow are mostly shades of yellow and gold, but you can find them in many different colors.

Some of the local daylily clubs or daylily society or whoever usually have daylily sales in spring or summer, often in OKC, if you're in that area.

Daylilies are tough. No care. I would urge you to just google "daylilies online." I refer to them as cheater flowers. There are so many beautiful hybrids now. . . one could easily get trapped into growing nothing but dayliles. I'm sure breeders are breeding for longer blooming times, but the ones I have currently only bloom for 1+ months. But if you're interested in having some, just research some of the many sites that pop up under the "daylilies online" google entry.
