Hi. In some states like California, Florida, Arizona, etc., you may be able to install the sauna in a garage, in a basement, or under a covered patio as long as the temperature does not drop below 65 degrees F. Our current model saunas are not constructed to withstand the outdoor weather elements. Our biggest concern is that there is moisture in the air (even under a covered patio) which could be absorbed by the wood. Also, another concern is that the power supply is located on the roof and could potentially rust over time if exposed to the moisture in the air as well. Furthermore, preheating times will be greatly affected as we test the saunas in ambient temperatures between 70 and 72 degrees F. Unfortunately, temperatures below 60 degrees F would be considered outdoor temperatures and we do not construct any models for outdoor use or to be used in outdoor temperatures. Our models are designed to be used in temperatures above 65 degrees F. If the unit is placed outdoors under a covered patio, you will need to cover the unit with a weather proof cover to protect it when not in use. Thank you for your inquiry.
