Feel like I need something under the TV--maybe a console table but it would be 1/2 on the rug, 1/2 off and look odd

I would do as deco suggested and replace the bench with a plant.

Console should be 25% wider than TV and 25% shorter than the wall for balance. I don't think you have room for one.

How about a wall mounted tv stand and leave the corner empty.

I would remove the corner items and put a trunk or bench under the window (straight) to balance the shelves on the other side of the fireplace. You could look for an upholstered bench that opens on the top or some other low storage to hide things away. Leave the area under the TV clear.

IMO you need a cabinet under the TV to anchor it and then all that stuff in the corner can be eliminated

Can you move the rug down and find a wide low bench for that corner? Remove what's there now.

I know you didn't ask, but a cozier layout where the furniture better connects would help take the emphasis off the TV, which is oversized for that spot. Consider moving both sofas closer together about a foot with more "breathing room" behind each one. This would create a conversational grouping for you. Then turn the coffee table the other way. This would also open up the bay window, such a lovely feature of the room that's somewhat blocked by the sofa. Tall, beautiful plants would add a lot to your living room.

I agree with pulling the sofas off the walls (esp by the window). You could put plants in front of that window (or on each side). A floating console under the TV/sound bar and remove the stuff in the corner OR leave TV wall alone and add a bench under the window (could also mimic the millwork on the other side to create a low bench/bookcase-- white with wood top)

Deviating from question..though,

If sofa pulled up enough in front, maybe a built-in bench next to bay window.. very dreamy.

Or you ok with moving tv above fireplace?

Your current arrangement which fills the corner to de-emphasize the TV is on the right track. I would just do it with plants. But not so many as this.....

I would put a plant like in the pic above in that corner, it's a Fiddle Leaf Fig, then call it a day. I really like your room.
