Jim, some really good lookers. Get find on CT Gala. I won a tiny ERC last year. I couldn't wait so I bought a nice sized starter this year. My free one has 2 leaves about the size of little finger nail.

You are not the only one seeing quirks on phone. The photo bar does not show in initial post. I do what you do, put comment in first post and photos in addional posts. I think it has to do with how the website is designed. I made the mistake of switching my phone to Desktop view instead of Remote. Now I get the photo icon, but cannot type ANY text. It jumps back and forth and replaces what I type with garbage. On the phone I have to type all text in WPS and copy to Houz. Grrrr Now that Houz has gone public $4B, I hope they don't forget garden area.

It definitely has reduced the amount I post here. ERC has been problematic for me the past. It did better once I put it in full sun.

I quite like the look of your Emerald Ruff Cut. The leaf curl gives it a rounder impression. I have two. The sunny one in the beginning of July

with smaller leaves in the second flush, but looks fine this year. And the shady one a week later (which I abused this spring and has regressed).
I dug it up to check the roots, then I remembered what I did (please don't ask)
I plunked it back in the ground, but I think I'll pot it up and replace it with something that's looking better now.
