On the oregano I would say the spots are most likely beetle damage, but could also be from cold water splash or high humidity levels.

On the basil it could just be the same but difficult to be sure - can we see the leaf undersides?

Thank you so much sydney! I dont have a pic of the underside but I’ve checked it many times and it looks clean and healthy

Im in north AL where its in the 90s most days so high humidity or cold water could be it. Could it be from overwatering?

If the undersides are fine then I would suggest that it’s sunscald, which you can get if you splash the leaves while watering when it’s very hot and sunny.

For the oregano I suspect that for the parts of the plant that are well below the rim of the pot, it could be too humid and shady for the moisture on the leaves to dry up. You really want as much free airflow as possible around the plant, especially if you live in a humid climate. Everything is still fine to eat though.

I don’t think you’re overwatering — if you were, the oregano and the rosemary/lavender (which I think I can see behind the basil?) would start to yellow or droop. The basil actually needs entirely different growing requirements; it will prefer humidity and a moist soil whereas the oregano and rosemary will want a dry surface.

All three should probably be grown separately if you want to keep them long-term.
