Personally, I find them awkward and would remove them.

Some builder thought he was a designer. He missed the boat. He should have gone into picture framing.

I am so glad you all agree. Down they come! yes I plan to put the TV on the wall to the right of the photo where they have that huge piece of furniture. (that is really pretty I must say) but I see a HUGE TV in the very near future in that exact same spot. Will definitely post a pic once we are in.

I’d remove them in this situation. I like molding generally, just not how this was done.

I like art for those spaces

They look like an afterthought to me. Id remove them. The top one is useless, I think hanging art that high looks ridiculous.
