Great room windows and room need help

This is our fourth year here and using furniture from our previous home, this is is far as we seem able to go. The millwork around the windows is beautiful and we love all the natural light from the windows but we definitely need help polishing up the room. Privacy is not an issue. Kitchen noise is also a problem. Your suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Not sure what you want to change. The room is nice, calm and serene. I like the no drape windows in Fm Rm and would repeat the no-curtain-window-treatment in kitchen = remove curtains from kitchen windows. Remove art that is high on the wall over sofa. Place mantel candles on coffee table, on mantel have only "small box" in center (the item that is on far right of mantel). Remove all dried flowers from room. Remove ivy only from center bookcase top shelf. See calm & serene inspiration room:
