KynGoh- Don't feel too badly as i've noticed these clay marbles used in various Asian countries. I don't find them beneficial as the plants are in a tropical type of environment. I don't know exactly where you are but, if you're near the causeway bridge, there is a very large nursery there you may want to visit. (Singapore side) I believe the owners name is Mei who manages it with her family. If you want advice she would be able to give first hand information to you. If you want to buy plants, i would check first with your local customs laws first as well as Singapore's.

Sansevieria are usually easy to grow and care for so you should not have much of a problem but, if you do, the knowledgeable people on the forum are here for you too. --Best of luck.

thank you neil, after i repot. it seems to be less yellow now. and i remove all the beads. thank you very much for the advise. will keep check on it. so now im like afraid to water the sanseveria. but will make sure i water only when the soil is very dry.

Pls talk to folks growing locally & ask their soil advice. I stopped commenting as you're in the tropics where I don't know what materials are available to you. Here we'd suggest either Perlite or Pumice added to make it fast draining (at least 30%). I don't know what you'd use there in place of that, or if you added anything else to your repot soil to make it faster draining.

Sorry to say this, but you'll have to water the plant, especially in the tropics. You can also kill it by underwatering (too infrequently), which unfortunately I have learned by personal experience.

Looks like Sansevieria cylindrica...there are few varieties and cultivars.

hello karen, i put beside my window. they are getting indirect sunlight with white sheer curtain hangging on the window. the lights are not very very bright but enough. since theres no indirect sunlight shine in. i would say medium light?

about the soil, its a mix cactus soil i got from a nursery but contain only sand, perlite, pumice . a very sandy base.
needed to check if there's other than the 3 material inside.try to get back with photo of the sand later.i only water once every 2 weeks which seems okay.
