I purchased a Kaffir Lime tree 2.5 weeks ago. This is a 3 ft tree that transplanted immediately from 2-gallon to 5-gallon container with adequate drainage. It looked pretty healthy at that time except there were lots of ants in the original container. Added good potting soil and did not disturb the roots too much. Gets a couple hours of full sun right now; daytime highs have been in the 90s. Leaves were exposed to a couple days of high, hot winds.

The leaves have developed issues (see all the pics):

• mild leaf curl and loss of gloss, especially older leaves (pic 1 and 2)
• A few older leaves look burned/scalded, a little yellow (pic 1 and 2)
• the tips of the branches (new leaves) are sort of folding inward. (pic 3 and 4)

What I've tried:

• Increased watering when initial symptoms appeared - got a good rain last night.
• Moved to wind-protected area.
• Provide shade hottest part of day
• Mild epsom salt drench 1 week ago to minimize transplant shock.
• Looked for sucking insects - can't find any

Any ideas on what's wrong with it? Is this transplant shock? Wind, sun, or drought damage? Nutrient problems? Over- or under-watering? Is a 5-gal planter too big for this size tree?
