IMHO, there are too many competing colors and patterns already so I would not introduce an arabesque. Besides, the arabesque doesn’t match the clean modern lines of your cabinetry (I have the same cabinets!). To reduce the busyness i would tile the floor of the tub area with something that looks either like the light greenish back wall or the dark grey flooring in the foreground. I think my preference would be for the dark grey to tie together the back and front design of your bathroom. That choice would also allow the side of the tub to become the design focal point. Perhaps there you could introduce a tile design w grey and green motif to tie together? Good luck! I really like the room!

I agree, Beth, the bathroom is busy, so is being redone (only thing that stays is the dark tile). I just bought the house. I have all the elements except the shower floor figured out. All of the green tile will be replaced with the porcelain marble look above. The vanities will be replaced with a transitional style. The walls will be repainted a light neutral color.

This will be more expensive, but may be an option: replace the tub for a stand alone tub and do the arabesque mosaic on the floor and accent the shower wall with a strip where the fixtures are. The entire house is being redone, so I have to think of the big picture for the remodel and prioritize things.
