Aw, Tuxie! How are her "kittens"? Mountain Wildfire is really pretty. Your seedling may be my favorite here, I do really like the pattern on No Man's Land. As usual they all look really nice.

Ah me! Spacecoast Fraances Busby is gorgeous! Love the color. It actually bloomed today but the color wasn't as rich as that. beautiful anyway though. Roman cohort is a beauty. that is the color of my Wall of Fire,except no watermark. Triple Delight looks really good. Men in Black is awesome. Janet and Bill is a pretty thing, but REd Edition is what catches my eye. Very nice posting.

Your new seedling is great, such nice habits to go along! No Mans Land looks wonderful today with a defined pattern. Such a nice edge on Baja California, nice vibrant color to boot. Mountain Wildfire and Triple Delight are glorious today as well.

Like the color on Mountain Wildfire! Your reds look good. I had 1 bloom on Janet and Bill -bugs got the rest-I have not been sure about it, anyway. Triple Delight has some strong colors in your photo. Very striking.

Nancy - Tuxie's grown-up kiitens are doing well. Both Sammie and Coco disappeared this Spring for about five days (not at the same time though). I suspect some neighbor is catching them and dumping them somewhere - but not far enough away because they find their way home. Of couse, it could the foxes in the area chasing them far away. Sammie seemed to have amnesia when she returned. She's never much liked me, but loves my husband. But when she returned she was afraid of him, and sought comfort from me. He wasn't even sure she was the same cat. But I knew it was her because of the white spots on her throat and stomach.

Dancing Summerbird and Maui Sunset are standouts for me of these wonderful flowers. Your new seedling looks like a winner!

Kay - I wondered if SC Francis Busby had bloomed for you. I think the color was intense in mine because of so much yesterday and early this morning. Also, if you look at my posts on an IPAD, that thing reds up my photos more than it should. Red Edition is beautiful bloom, but the plant habit is not so good here. It would be better grown father south.

Brad - Dancing Summerbird always captivates me with its unique shape and its delicate coloring. Maui Sunrise had the biggest blooms I have ever seen on it, and the most intense coloring. It's usually in the high 90s when it bloom. Cool temps and rain are responsible for the deep coloration.

Thanks Laura! I'm thrilled with No Mans Land. Glad you enjoyed seeing Tuxie again. She's really the only one of the cats who likes to go on the garden walks with me. I guess I should be more appreciative.

It's just like a cat to photobomb! But I'm glad to see her! Cats in garden photos are my favorite thing. After Tuxie, is of course Lillian's Thin Ice. I'm a pretty big fan, as you know. Dancing Summerbird is lovely and the name suits it. It really does look like it's dancing in the breeze. Those are my top picks.

Debra: I admit I'm dead beat after a day out in the garden, but when I looked up Maui Sunset on the data base it showed one of those off white with eye things, not the vibrant orange red in your picture. Could it possibly be Maui Sunrise not Sunset?............Maryl

Nice group. Maui Sunrise is one of my favorites here and I moved it last year when I eliminated the bed it was in. I do know that it usually starts blooming anywhere from mid June to early July here based on our weather.Lillian's Thin Ice is stunning and doesn't appear to be a "leaner" if you know what I mean.

Maryl - Yes, that's Maui Sunrise. It.s a hard dormant that would overwinter beautifully in a pot.

Julia - Are the Maui Sunrise blooms huge for you? I didn't measure, but they seemed even bigger than 7 inches yesterday. Thanks so much for that one. In the past two years, it's bloomed when the temps were near 100 and it was very faded. I'm seeing now what the bloom really looks like. It's always orange here, and doesn't have the reddish tones it has for you.
