Staking Small Trees That Have Partially Blown Over

last modified: 7 years ago

As the title says, two roughly 15’ tall Linden trees I planted at my Mom’s two years ago blew over in a storm a couple of days ago. They didn’t uproot, thankfully, so I’m cautiously optimistic they’ll recover.

I‘m wondering if I just need to stake them straight and leave it be for a few years to put out more roots? They were 10 gallon pots when I planted them and I think frankly the top growth has outpaced the root growth to date. This in in southern Minnesota FWIW.

Thoughts?
