Mine loves sun and let it dry between watering

Mine sends up new leaves and sheds the old ones fairly quickly... leaves and flowers usually don't last more than a couple months. Have you observed new growth yet?

Agree with jpciii, mine renews itself quite readily. Leaves die, new ones form. Bloom stalks happen and die within a few days. I like to pluck out the dead leaves/bloom stalks when they start to wilt and get smooshy. For some reason I find the frequent "grooming" of oxalis quite satisfying. And I usually say it's a fairly good plant for a new-to-plants person because it really communicates. When it wants water, it sulks. It's not at all shy to let me know.

As long as you have some foliage that looks perky and happy, it's probably fine.

Put them in the ground and don't worry about them (check to see if they are hardy in your zone first). They can take a lot of weather extremes and the clumps get bigger every year.
