Hey everyone! I recently ordered two peach sorbet blueberry bushes and two pink lemonade blueberry bushes. The peach sorbets are coming in 2-gallon pots whereas the pink lemonades are coming in 1-gallon pots. I plan to keep them all in pots, at least for now, because I live in an area with lots of deer and I'm a bit afraid they'll just be destroyed by wildlife if I put them in the ground without giving them a chance to grow a bit more first.

Anyone have any advice on what soil I should use or a good fertilizer? I'm in zone 7a, so according to the website I ordered from, I should be in a good climate for both varieties. I'm excited! I read about pink lemonade blueberries for the first time about two years ago, and I've been wanting a plant ever since, but I at the time I was splitting my time between two states and only had space in my car to transport my meyer lemon plant, so I couldn't justify buying new plants when I wouldn't be able to care for them consistently and would have to trust them with someone else for half the year. But, now I'm back in my home state and don't currently have plans to leave, so I finally went ahead and ordered my pink blueberry bushes.

The peach sorbet bushes were more of an impulse buy. I wanted a second variety for cross pollination and they caught my eye. Plus adding two of those to my cart got my pretty close to qualifying for free shipping.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to receiving these plants and I'd appreciate any advice you might have to offer to make sure they thrive!
