Hi Whisst, a lot depends on where you are. I live in Canada and if you live in the States, there is the question of importing plants/leaves to the States. There may be such problems if you are dealing with countries in Europe or Asia.

AV clubs are often your best bet for finding people who want to share. Check with the AVSA to find clubs in your area.

You can also order African Violet seed that comes from variegated parents and grow them yourself. Google is your friend - I forget the name of the company that sells that. Also you can /easily/ order variegated AV's from Lyndon Lyons, the Violet Barn, buy them on Ebay. You can also ask friends who have them and offer to trade leaves or babies. You may not get good reactions if you are asking for handouts, though you may get lucky. I often have extras to spare but I sell through my Etsy shop which is currently out of stock atm.

Both of those are top quality growers with their own hybrid lines as well as carrying others. They also guarantee their plants so if yours doesn't arrive in good shape or doesn't bloom as advertised, they will refund you.

Once you get a few good plants it'll be easier to trade with others.

It's not at all unusual for leaves of sought after varieties to sell for a few to several dollars each pair!
