Do you recognize this wild allium?

I found it in the yard not far from the compost bin. I thought at first it was young daylily foliage until I got closer. It has that garlic/onion scent, but the leaves are flat, not round or hollow like others I've seen. The largest bulb I've found is about the size of a small grape. Any ideas?

Looks like garlic to me. Garlic has flat leaves. As do leeks but the flower buds are rounder. Do you put vegetable trimmings on the compost heap? Not wild btw.

Yes, I do, but really can't think the last time I tossed any garlic! I tend to keep it forever.

Is that long skinny flower bud also typical?
