do you have an inspiration photo?

This is similar to what I want. I’m thinking 3 of the smaller pieces instead of 4. I was thinking a 2x2 along bottom of the windows and 3 smaller pieces of cut up 2x2 under that. Strange that I can’t find anyone that has done this before and I’ve done extensive research

A small change, but a big impact!

I bought a 2x2 and cut the pieces and then used wood glue and clamps. Then I used I think it was the E3000 glue and glued it to the door. I don’t have a brad nailer and didn’t want to buy one for just this. It’s been up for several months with no issues. I live in NC so will see how it holds up to summer heat. My porch doesn’t get any direct sun at all so that’s helpful. Will post again later to let you know how the summer goes

Do you have the sizes that you cut everything to?

The king piece is just however ling your window is. I used 2 1/4” for the 3 short pieces. I did a couple of test sizes and settled on this. If you do it on a door your sizes maybe different. I chose 3 short pieces because I like odd numbers. So far it’s holding up perfectly

Yes just pine and then painted
