Tall impressive plant for a container in mostly shade?

I have had these canary begonias in this planter for maybe 4 weeks and it aint cutting it.



This north facing location, shaded by the garage can be easily seen from the street and sidewalk.


So I would like an "impressive" plant that will succeed in such lighting.


Can you help?

    Colocasia Black Magic or Illustris would “ pop” against your garage doors. Another option would be to add a Sansevieria/ Snake Plant to your begonias to add some height. I did that last year with a similar pair of containers and really liked it. You can bring them into the house in the fall for a houseplant.
