Hydro Sans Grows a Pup

This showed up recently, the plant grown in Hydro is about 10 yrs. old now.

Approximately 9:00 o'clock position. Usually the new growth on this goes up, it's never had a pup grow off a distance from it before. Lighter in color too.

Odd how on a narrow leafed plant it's thrown such a wide leaf.

Rugged, tough plant, keeps on chugging even when I forget to top it off w/ water, I keep just a bit in the bottom most of the time.

Sorry Mike but no, we're talking Sans.

PLS READ, it's entitled Hydro Sans grows a Pup, it's about Sans. posted on a Sans Forum (also at C&S & Houseplants). It's all about the Sans, which I happen to have grown hydro.

Again, for any other topic, pls start your own thread, maybe at Houseplants or Tropicals & ask abt growing your Calathea Hydro.

No, I tend to fertilize my succulents very little, maybe will give a tad of fish tank water next time I bring some home.

Nice! Is it S.trifasciata (species)?

I used to grow 'Moonshine' in what might be precisely called "semi-hydro" (fine grit, pot with several tens of holes and couple of cms water at the bottom of larger pot acting as a water tank). No water level indicators. Successful and easy. I used to fertilize it two, maybe three times in season with cacti-dedicated fertilizer. I wonder if somebody tried hydro with Hahnii group, I have some trouble with these sansevierias growing in "normal" way.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Don't know what it is, was an un-IDed scrap for experiment.

Funny you mention trouble w/ Hahniis. Don't know if you've seen there's a couple of threads here abt that right now. I may go on there & add I'm losing what was IDed as a Jade Hahnii, was beautiful, looked yesterday & the middle is collapsing ... bummer.
