I planted two of the max frei this year in containers. They flowered once and that was it. I have them in full sun and they have grown but no flowers. What should I do to get them to bloom? I have been trying to put some perennial flowers in my containers and this seemed like a great choice. I even went and bought a bloom booster miracle grow to see if that would help. Any advise?

Hi Patti, max frei give their show in late June for me and then it will push out a few more flowers in the Fall (September?)(but not nearly as big a show as in June).

Thanks. I will see how it does next year. It was early Summer when it bloomed so nice. I don’t mind if I don’t see flowers as long as I know it is nothing I have done wrong. Thanks again.

I'm having trouble seeing what the difference is between these pictures and the species G sanguineum, especially in GardenHo's photo. Can anyone tell me the distinguishing features? And also whether it comes true from seed or reverts?
