Does it have bright yellow blooms in the Spring?

If so: forsynthia, and I have successfully transplanted those.

no, it’s redish

Looks like a flowering quince, Chaenomeles species. That's a pretty big and mature shrub to attempt to relocate and now is not the time to try it but it can be done.

While this guide states to move it when "not in bloom," most recommendations are to move a quince (and most other shrubs, for that matter) in early fall or early spring.

Quince apparently survive transplant well, but I have no personal experience with them.

Thank you so much!
