Thanks Carla! LA Times is really outdoing themselves with these great articles on Weeks. They are still some of my favorite roses, I feel they breed with a climate like mine in mind.

Just wanted to add that I think ”Scenticmental’ is one of the best named roses. Whoever named Star Roses’ Deelish and Big Momma should be fired, and they should beg Weeks’ name lady, Miriam, out of retirement.

I love that Barbra Streisand was so particular about her namesake, then bought 200 of them. Sounds like a true gardener and rose lover. Perhaps she posts here under a pseudonym.
