What are the original floors? I'm hoping you're not pulling up original thin plank wood flooring in the rest of the house to do something "new" that won't last as long as original floors.

There is just subflooring underneath this flooring, I would love to find nice original floors in the other rooms, but not likely. Asbestos tile was in the foyer. beautiful woodwork in the living / dining room (excuse the mess) the house, although lovely is not in a neighborhood where we would get our investment back - already put more into it than it's worth.... we are a foster family and I also homeschool. Seating is another big problem. It's not unusual for our family to double in size at a moments notice. What other info could I provide to help? I so appreciate the advice!
