I would switch out the slate or black appliances for stainless steel ones. First, because there are so many reports that the slate and black are just a thin paint and will scratch very easily. Second, because slate/black appliances suck all the light out of the room. I've seen them in appliance stores and they look way-cool under the industrial lighting of these stores. But in a home kitchen, nope. You've got plenty of black and dark going on already with your kitchen, you don't need more. Get stainless steel appliances for some gleam and reflectivity. Don't worry about it clashing with brushed nickel. It won't, and no one will notice that anyway.

I agree stainless appliances especially with those dark cabinets .

Get rid of those black appliances. Never use black appliances unless the cabinets are black. You are already going to need to add a lot more lighting to the room. Post your lighting plan. It should have recessed and under cabinet lights both.

The cabinets are beautiful.

Hi, I have a 3k flush mount lighting its a linear, we will have to get the lighting installed under cabinets once everything is in. I thought about the stainless steel but my husband and I hate the finger prints anyone had luck with a brand that hides the fingerprints really well? Thanks to all that responded.

Black appliances are fine.

It is okay to have a kitchen that does not look like every other 2019 kitchen.
