Those are some nice hostas and super healthy roots! I got couple from your list and do like them a lot. That Razor edge probably spent years in that pot.

Lots of new hostas! I can't believe how tightly packed in that Razor's Edge was. You did a good job of teasing the roots.

The Razors Edge is a very nice hosta, always looks good in the garden, and as you can see, it's a robust grower. Robust enough that it behaves a bit thuggishly with it's neighbors, it will outgrow and overgrow anything planted too close. It also is listed as a small, but is really a medium. Enjoy!

Thanks for the advice. I plan to stick it in the corner of a raised bed and hope the petioles show. By sheer luck, there's nothing near it but some ground cover, so it can spread as much as it likes. It's one of those spots that was sunny three years ago and then the trees grew.....

which one Is the lime green one with the red petioles? I must have that one. Ha!

I forget which hosta but I had one like yours that was so rootbound the plastic pot was warped..I didn't try to get the pot off..just started cutting..it was so much bigger than the others I had to buy it..😂

How is The Razor's Edge doing this year Madplanter?

MY golden harmony is starting to add new leaves, I have a feeling it is not going to be fast one.

Razors Edge is looking great . Miss Suzy was planted beside it, but started to burn. Not RE. It just laughs at the sun and keeps growing.

Golden Harmony is in the same area. No burning, but not much growth, either. I think you're right about it being a slow one.

Wu La La has barely grown, either. Gabriel's Wing froze to the ground, but has come back strong. Lots of leaves and a decent size for a new plant. They may look similar but Gabriel's Wing is a lot more vigorous.

Good to know about Gabriel's Wing. I almost got one this year. Wunderbar has been growing very well for me. Miss Suzy got moved after burning in too much sun where other Hostas were happy. Did better in mostly house shade with only a little direct sunlight. Moved it again and seems happiest in full dappled shade.

I bought a Wu La La at the end of the season last year. It didn't look all that great at that time. This year I really loved the look of the one eyed plant. Loved it so much, I initially would put it in the shed for overnight so the squirrels wouldn't get a chance to dig in the pot and disturb the roots. Never got a chance to take a picture. My husband knocked it over and all the leaves broke except for two. The leaves are hanging on, but I don't love the look of it anymore. I can only hope it returns to its lovely self next year.

LOL. Not just husbands. Last year Gunther's Prize had one eye sport to Gunther's Rim . It was too big for me to get out of the ground, I asked my son to help. He hit a tree root, so I went for a saw. By the time I got back, he had gotten it out, tried to balance it on the shovel, and dropped it upside down. Most of the leaves were broken off or hanging on by a thread. Between that and the big freeze this spring it's down to 3 or 4 leaves. But at least it's alive.

"Those dang husbands" Lol..just 2 hours ago..there was a dead branch on an Amur maple that I couldn't quite reach..less than 2 inches too high..so I tell my dang husband "step between the hostas"..he does but after the cut he stepped right on Fragrant Bouquet.. :-(
