    Hi, thanks ….

I tried putting the curio flat next to the buffet but since we can see it from the living room we can see the backside and looks funny.

Before purchasing furniture it is very important to take measurements...your dining table is much too big for that space..you need at least 2’ behind each chair..how do you use those chairs up against the wall? I think you might be buying much too big of furniture for your home??

Too much furniture for the space. I'd find another home for the curio and move the buffet over a bit.

Can you take pic of the whole space? Can you center the buffet? If you’re going to keep the table I would remove the chair against the wall.

Remove the curio cabinet, and then the buffet will work wonderful.

First of all, I LOVE your light fixture.
I would remove the clock from the wall. Are the 3 itens from your curio cabinet that would tell an interesting story (after you move the cabinet) on the buffet? The vase and arrangement do not compliment your decor.

I would love the be able to remove the curio, unfortunately it's the only place I have to store the collection of amazing glasses my mom gave me . If I must keep the curio and buffet, how best to make it look nice. I will remove the vase and arrangement. Should I add shelves over the buffet ? maybe a picture …? what should go on the buffet?

What if you put frosting on the glass of the curio, if even just the lower half or lower 3/4, and then you can still display the prettiest things (or rotate your things) at the top. It can mimic the way the front of the sideboard is for continuity. Then you can hopefully straighten it out next to the buffet. This will then, hopefully as well, line up within the wall and casings of the window. Then, I would recommend much smaller and lighter feeling chairs. Something that has some openness to it. You will likely only be able to use two or three in the space, so if you need four, you can store the others elsewhere if not used on a daily basis. Then for the top of the buffet, I would like to see something simpler to reflect your more clean lined design. Perhaps a low white decorative bowl. Above that, a large piece of art to really just anchor that wall and if you care to add any colour, this is a great place to start and then to pull from the art for some decorative pillows on your sofa in the adjacent room. Instead of the low bowl, you can also always add a beautiful plant in a white planter. That would add life and colour all at the same time.

Keep us posted on additional changes.

The curio and the buffet don’t fit on the same small wall. Leave the buffet, move the curio. Add a piece of framed colorful art above the buffet. Add window treatments... at least a simple drapery panel at each side of each window....to add some softness and color. Remove the big clock to the kitchen. Don’t tell your guests that their time with you is limited.
With dramatic light fixtures, place your art or wall decor where it is more visible and less in competition with the lighting.
Select a contrast or accent color for a few accessories.

Can you post some images of the other room open to the kitchen like the family room...so we can help with the layout...we may be able to help you fit the curio onto a different wall by moving a few things around.
