I found Susan via her website and immediately connected with her design approach and the depth of her services covered my needs. My project is to fully renovate my 1000 sq. ft. condo. Susan is a very skilled interior design professional, with great people skills and has a host of contacts and design sources. Susan will tell you up front what she will do and then she delivers. By the end of our first working session and as laid out before our meeting, we had assessed the scope of the renovation, develop a preliminary design plan and created a set of next steps for me to follow. I’m one of those people who doesn’t have a strong fashion sense. It helped me that at our initial meeting Susan was able to put into words for me where my fashion interests lay and outline a possible colour palette to underlay future decisions. This was key because after the contractor was selected, I needed, with Susan's help, to make a plethora of design and decor decisions related to the construction aspects of the renovation. Susan brought a trained and discerning eye to each activity. Whether it was selecting and buying flooring, tiles and lighting or designing kitchen cabinets, she always assessed the affect of the individual pieces, as well as the continuity of the overall design at hand. We have successfully completed the design phase related to the construction and are now in the process of working through the furnishing and decorating aspects of my project. I'm looking forward to working with Susan to bring this phase of my renovation to a successful conclusion, as we did the first phase.

After downsized from our family home of 20yrs to a townhouse,Susan Abramson provided excellent, professional, and practical design advice. She makes herself available for all decisions and provides useful recommendations and resources. Susan was able to create a new home using our existing furniture while updating the look and recommending additions within our price budget. Susan made a professional visit to a home that I recently acquired. My plan is to fix up the home in order to have a rental income. This special place belonged to my parents and is the home in which I grew up. Susan was sensitive to my attachment to the place, and made suggestions that wouldn't alter the 50's look drastically i.e. the glossy wooden closet doors, the glass door handles, and the curved archways. Susan suggested paint colors to freshen and enhance every room in the bungalow, ideal window coverings, lighting and upgraded flooring. Susan provided helpful resources and continued support. Susan kept our budget in mind, and balanced that with making changes that would attract a tenant who would be impressed with the entire look of the home. It is so good to see someone who is adept and skilled at their job, and Susan displayed this professionally in a comfortable manner.

We were impressed with Susan Abramson's website and her philosophy; and when we retained her, she provided us with precisely the services she described on her website. We found her very easy to work with and she really got us involved in each decision throughout the project. She focused on giving us the advice we asked for and was very respectful not only of our budget, but also of our desire to retain certain pieces of art and furniture that we are emotionally attached to but she found new and wonderful ways to use them which meant we could use part of our budget for new items. Susan made some suggestions that were, for us, very bold, but we took a leap of faith and the results were fabulous; even our teenagers commented how they liked the outcome and that's a recommendation in itself. She was also very helpful and supportive when we wanted to tweak some of her suggestions to suit how we lived in our home. Our experience has been excellent and we will definitely work with Susan again.

I had never worked with a designer before. I wanted someone who listened to me, had fresh ideas, and could blend the two. I found all of that in Susan who helped me renovate a newly-purchased condo from top to bottom - from finding a contractor to choosing floors, window coverings, and furniture, to designing a kitchen, to picking colours, to offering wisdom and support when issues and problems arose, and so much more. Phase one (renovations) is almost finished and we will soon move into the next phase (decorating) to find places for things I own and love, look for items to complement what is here, hang pictures and add all the special touches that will make my home that I love to be in and that reflects the person I am.

Susan is extremely competent at her job without being pushy or overwhelming. She wants her clients to be happy with the finished space. She is respectful of my wishes and is trying to use as many of my suitable pieces of furniture as possible in my new space. Susan was a great help in choosing my new kitchen cabinets, and went shopping with me to choose new flooring for my condo, She also made helpful suggestions in how to save some money in the budget of the renovations. She is very accessible by email, phone and in person. I would highly recommend Susan and Toronto Designers and am very glad I found her.

When I purchased my first appartment of 850 sq , Susan was of great support in getting it just the way I envisionned it: the right wall colors, the best furniture positionning and the perfect accessories to tie it all together. Three years down the road, she remains a reference for me and all improvements I do simply work better when validated with her first. I love her style, her way of really understanding what I want and guiding me in making it happen on a small budget. Shopping with her is always fun et efficient: she simply knows were to go to find the perfect fit. Other than the initial set-up, we have worked together on revamping the bathroom and now the main bedroom. I do recommend Susan's work even if you only need advise that you want to roll-out yourself - its been great for me over the years.

I had a great overall experience with Susan. She was recommended to me by a friend who has also used her for decorating her home. Since I have a busy schedule, I appreciated that Susan was flexible in scheduling a time to meet that worked best for me. She came to my home for a 2 1/2 hour consultation and focused on the decorating areas I requested help with. She quickly understood my taste and decorating needs. Susan offers a variety of post-consultation services such going shopping with her clients, shopping for them onher own, or even just giving guidance over emails and photographs, etc. I like that she offers these different options and look forward to using some of them in the near future.
